Matthew Barbour

I'm a software engineering leader with thirty years of experience across the full arc of the craft — from writing production code for early web platforms to architecting systems at scale and building the teams that ship them. Over that time I've worked on products used by millions, held a US patent for advertising technology built at Microsoft, and led engineering organizations across industries including media, real estate, luxury travel, and legal tech.

I live and work just outside of Seattle, where the Pacific Northwest doubles as a second office. You're as likely to find me on a hiking trail or biking along the coast as you are behind a keyboard. I play bass guitar, read broadly, and believe that a full life outside of work makes for sharper thinking inside it.
